새로운 아파트 모델이 제시하는 주거공간은 중정을 가지고 있다. 중정은 자연의 일부를 차경하여 콘크리트의 삭막함을 완화시키는 역할을 한다. 그러나 중정을 지나다니는 사람들은 그곳을 특별할 것 없는 텅 빈 공간으로 인식한다. 중정의 인공잔디를 곤포하여 질식 상태의 자연을 표현했다. 역설적으로 그 인공의 자연에 우주적 이미지를 투사하여 짓밟힌 자연의 비극성을 드러내고자 했다.
New apartment complexes typically include a courtyard within their residential space. The purpose of the courtyard is to soften the starkness of the concrete by incorporating elements of nature. However, those passing by often perceive these courtyards as empty spaces with nothing special inside. The artificial grass in the centre of this particular courtyard is bundled to symbolise the suffocation of nature. By projecting cosmic images onto this artificial nature, I aim to reveal the tragedy of trampled ecosystems.
